Oscar Jerome has released the video for his new single ‘Subdued’, which comes ahead of the unveiling of his forthcoming EP of the same name (released Jan. 26th 2018).
The video – that is shot using only infrared cameras – is a collaboration between Oscar, director Dashti Jahfar and artist Gaurab Thakli. Of the video’s concept, Oscar explains, “The strange look and the extreme colours went well with the message of the song”, before adding that the faceless character personifies the “misguided, arrogant and ultimately insignificant western human running themselves into their own destruction”.
The song itself is of the familiarly jazzy essence listeners have come to expect from Oscar, with his fluid vocals complementing the instrumentation well.
